Summer of Career Success

Dear Friends,

The constant hum of the air conditioner reminds me that summer has officially arrived! Especially here in Arizona, where our day time high temperatures have been topping 100 degrees for most of the past week, we are very well aware of the change of seasons. This annual shift to hotter weather reminds us all that our year is almost half over and that time is running out to implement changes and achieve our professional goals for 2013. In this weeks Ask the Experts section, we explore two ideas that will help our readers make the most of the second half of 2013 – passion and networking.

Passion is a commonly used but often misunderstood word in the workplace. Most of us know when we see someone else with passion in their work, but what does it mean exactly and how can you get it if you don’t already have it? Click here for answers.

Networking is also a vital part of success in the workplace. To some, networking comes as second nature and is easy to accomplish. To others, however, this subject is daunting and requires a specific plan and discipline to accomplish. Click here to see the 5 steps to successful networking.

We thought it would be a good time to explore these two subjects and provide our readers with some simple steps to revive their passion for work and expand their professional network, to help make the most of the rest of the year. We hope you find this information to be useful and please remember that we love to hear your feedback about our newsletter!
